Chapters 30 + 31 (in-class)
The class discussion and reading on managing with a fetisher attitude was really good, and I liked the thought of finding a harmony between the two. I also stand by the comment I made that Eisenberg is wrong, or at least for this day and age, it's no longer time to step back. We must step up, and actively make a change. Whether it's promoting green energy, buying less "fast fashion" components, buying more glass instead of plastic, or whatever choices we as individuals and as a country make, it's not time to just leave everything behind and hope it fixes itself. Just like with the oases that we read about a few weeks back, leaving the damage we've done will not just go away. Planting native plants and encouraging wild life to return just might fix it all though. Also, I think it would be impossible at this point to just all move to cities and leave the country alone, or whatever else it would take to step back from the world.
