Myths and Religions
I have never understood why some religious tales are labeled as myths while others have transformed into recognized religions. Many have similar stories or bases and yet their classifications can often differ. Who decided what tales were sellable as truths and what tales were to be put under the myth category?
Also with so many recognized religions having sharing similar basics and stories why is there so much tension about which religion is correct? I feel like it should be possible to find common ground in these religions and begin to build productive relationships off of those basic blocks.
These are the religion questions I have had for years, especially coming into this course. I have yet to figure these out but hope one day to learn and understand these processes and discover the answers.
