Shintoism

Religions such as Shintoism believe all things in this world have their own spirituality, being born from the divine couple. This causes them to view the natural world like brother and sister and valued a harmony between all aspects of nature. I read in an article that the Japanese have festivals in order to honor the trees and environment around them. They have a constant gratitude for nature and what is gives to humans and feel a need to give back to nature. With much deforestation occurring due to globalization, it is important for people to appreciate the forests around us and want to give back, instead of continually exploiting it.
