Walden, a game

While researching transcendentalism for my final paper, which was focused on the parallel between Native American religions and transcendentalism, I stumbled upon this game. This game is centered around Henry David Thoreau's sojourn in the woods of Massachusetts and how he experienced his surrounding environment. I watched the trailer and it doesn't have the best graphics, however, I think the fact that there was enough support for a game like this is impressive. Right after its release it was even awarded Game of the Year and Most Significant Impact at a video game festival. The ironic concept of the plot of a video game being outdoors and interacting with nature is why I chose to write about this and I want others to also think about this irony.
